Glueing Cleats Almost Complete
Almost all of the cracks are reinforced at this point. Note the botched inlay on the original top. I suspect that this top was originally to be prepared to be glued the other side facing the audience, or someone accidentally used a “leftie” top. The inlayed spruce in the shape of the pick guard is actually underneath the side without the pick guard. This may also explain why the top cant was not in the ideal position.
